Change

As I keep evolving my blog here, I wanted to continue some of the consolidation and refining that I began when I moved scottweidig.com to SiteGround as my host. Here are some of the things that I have been doing behind the scenes…

• Consolidate 162ish categories down to 20… and I would like to go down from there…
• I completely re-worked the site design to move into more of a category focus so I can focus my writing a bit more…
• I started a daily “Video Log” for some ideas about what I am doing personally, as well as to ask a little question of the day to see what you think about truly random topics…
• I am attempting to better develop a way to bring popular posts or information to the forefront for easier access…
• and more… (As I have said in the past, this is definitely a work in progress.)

Do go along with these disruptions and convergences, I needed / wanted to create (and change) some logos (for lack of a better word) to help pull post themes or standard topics together. So here are a few that you will begin to see more and more…

This was what I first came up with when I started my Vlog section:

I thought it was clever… a log inside a video reel? Well after a bit of fun ribbing from my wife… really does it look a bit like a kidney bean? I thought this might be fun for a bit:

Just today, I started a Hints and Tips Category so you will be seeing this little guy around more and more:

I will most likely have some other variants of him as I buildout my Hints and Tips section as I have been spending a lot of time playing with Google Plus and trying to work out how to accomplish many Plus things via mobile devices. Well until Google gets some updates in to pull the different capabilities into a single Mobile App.

I am sure there will be more to come as well, so I will keep you posted.
